February Week 3: INTEGRITY – Earning Trust Through Action

"Integrity is not a conditional word. It doesn’t blow in the wind or change with the weather. It is your inner image of yourself, and if you look in there and see a man who won’t cheat, then you know he never will." – John D. MacDonald

At Gracie Humaitá Jiu-Jitsu Tottenham, we teach that integrity is about more than just words—it's about earning trust through action. In our kids’ Jiu-Jitsu classes in Tottenham, Alliston, Beeton, and Simcoe County, we emphasize that true integrity means doing what you say you will do, even when it’s challenging.

Integrity in Jiu-Jitsu involves being dependable and reliable. Whether it’s showing up consistently to practice, helping a teammate improve, or respecting the rules during a match, integrity is displayed through every action on and off the mats. Our students learn that trust is earned when they follow through on their commitments and give their best effort in every situation.

In Jiu-Jitsu, integrity also means taking responsibility. When you make a mistake, you own up to it and learn from it. When you make a promise, you keep it. In our Tottenham Jiu-Jitsu program for kids, we encourage students to be honest, reliable, and respectful leaders.

Ask your child:

  1. Why is reliability important in Jiu-Jitsu and life?
  2. How can you show integrity to your teammates and instructors?
  3. Why is it important to take responsibility for your actions?

At Gracie Humaitá Jiu-Jitsu Tottenham, we help kids grow into confident, respectful, and dependable leaders. If you want your child to learn integrity, discipline, and respect, enroll them in our kids' Jiu-Jitsu classes in Tottenham, Alliston, Beeton, and Simcoe County today!
